The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Greensboro participated in 15th annual "Outta School into the Pool," at Wet N Wild Emerald Point on June 18, 2009. Over 300 club members and staff were in attendance. During the Murphy in the Morning Show on 107.5 FM, Wet N Wild Emerald Point and 107.5 FM presented The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Greensboro with a $10,000 donation!




***Congratulations to Jamisha Johnson Our 2009 Youth of the Year****





Jamisha Johnson is a senior attending The Academy at Smith High School in Greensboro North Carolina. She is a member of The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Greensboro Teen Center. Jamisha is a wonderful young woman. She exemplifies the meaning of a successful club member and she is a leader in every way. Jamisha is always willing to lend a helping hand to Ms. Ashley, Teen Center Unit Director, as well as her fellow club members. Upon her graduation, Jamisha would like to attend a four year university and obtain her degree in Early Childhood Education, and ultimatly practice Pediatric Medicine.
Jamisha had this to say about The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Greensboro: "The Boys and Girls Club is like a second family to me. Coming to the Boys and Girls Club makes me happy and I love being around the staff and having an opportunity to help the younger club members. Since I have been a member of the Boys and Girls Club, I have learned a lot from the programs at the Teen Center. I am very thankful for the opportunity to represent The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Greensboro as the 2009 Youth of the Year!"
