The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greensboro offers a variety of expertly tested programs that enhance the well-being of our Club members and allow them to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Our programs promote and enhance the development of boys and girls during critical periods of their lives. We provide daily experiences that allow young people to explore, create, and learn about the world around them. Here we "Play with a Purpose" and always integrate education into recreation! The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greensboro is proud to offer activities in six Core Program Areas:
-
Character & Leadership Development
-
Education & Career Development
-
Health & Life Skills
-
The Arts
-
Sports, Fitness, & Recreation
-
Spiritual Development
By utilizing the strategies inherent in the Core Areas of Programming, we strive to instill in each member:
-
A sense of Competence - the feeling that there is something boys and girls can do, and do well!
-
A sense of Usefulness - the opportunity to do something of value for other people!
-
A sense of Belonging - a setting where young people know they "fit" and are accepted!
-
A sense of Power or Influence - a chance to be heard and to influence decisions!
